Quixote are a blues fuelled avant garde rock band from the UK, Spain, France, Russia and Germany who now ply their trade in Berlin. The debut single ‘The Big Bad Man’ has been likened to “the soundtrack to a mass brawl in a deep West whisky bar, with Lord Byron and the Devil as the chief protagonists.” It’s the first offering from a band succeeding in bringing dark but humorous poetry to an exquisitely orchestrated, and often chaotic, musical arrangement  which supports a vocal style ranging from storyteller to brazen holler to almost operatic croonings.

The band have drawn lyrical comparisons to songwriters Nick Cave and Tom Waits, and poets and authors such as T.S Eliot and Charles Bukowski, whilst musically diversifying from the chanson delights of songs such as Elephant, to the demented howlings of Drinking the Rain from the Puddles.

The debut album ‘Devil in a Bunny Suit, Angel in a Cocktail Dress’ is out in February 2012.
